Greg J Ferguson

Greg Ferguson completed undergraduate study at James Cook University and later undertook a PhD on the life-history and ecology of Mulloway at University of Adelaide. He joined SARDI in the 1990’s and has worked on life-history and stock assessment of South Australian crustacean, finfish and molluscan species. For the past 15 years his research focus has included working on Pipi (Latona deltoides) to improve knowledge of life-history, length-based population dynamics, and development and application of fishery performance indicators to inform management. He is currently working with the fishing industry to explore harvesting options including the potential benefits from spatial management such as translocation of stock.
